Krasnoyarsk Region is one of the richest Russian regions, having great natural recourses, industrial and scientific potential. Hundreds of large scale industrial enterprises operate in the Region.
The major regional investment projects of modern Russia are:
• Nijnee Priangarie development project – include the construction of Boguchansk hydroelectric power station, the creation of electric mains system and the start up of aluminum plant with 600 thousand tons capacity annually. It's the largest investment project or the last 25 years in Russia. The total volume of the project investment is over $7 billion.
• Other investment projects realized in the Region such as Vankor Oil Deposit development, Kyzyl – Kuragino Railroad Line construction, Krasnoyarsk International Air-Transport Hub development and many others are estimated at about $13 billion.
With over 190 participants from Russia, China, Belarus and Turkey and new technologies and equipment produced in Germany, Japan, Finland, England, Italy, France, Ukraine and South Korea, the Electrical Engineering Exhibition and the Siberian Energetics Forum 2012 were a key event on the electrical engineering market of Krasnoyarsk Region. Over 7000 people visited the exhibition.
