Introduction:
Creativity as it's never been seen takes to the stage of Taiwan Int'l Cultural and Creative Industries Exhibition that unfolds October 23 to 26, 2008 at the Taipei World Trade Center. This is the show that transforms the best in creative arts and crafts into marketable commodities! Get set to discover renderings from the furthest stretches of the creative imaginations, products from visual arts, crafts, commercial design, digital applications, and image licensing products and related services. The arts of Taiwan are in full blossom! Nourishing these developments are the supportive policies of the Taiwan government. And with this trend, TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) and Taiwan Design Center are now organizing the show in conjunction with Autumn Giftionery Taipei 2008. In 2007, this show has already attracted a huge line up of participants including Taiwan's most prestigious international brands such as Franz, Tittot, Artilize, Newchi, and The One. There are also major foreign brands such as ALESSI. "This exhibition is not only an effective way for exhibitors and buyers to interact and work together," stated Jiafen Lu, manager of The One, "but also a great learning experience for students of design. Her perspective is supported by Mr. Yuantang Hou, president of Cheerful, who believes that aesthetically pleasing cultural and creative products can lead to the transformation of the gift industry. This exhibition opens a perfect platform for designers to collaborate and for students to gain knowledge about the industry. It also helps to heighten company profile, according to Mr. Youzhang Tong, who is in charge of his firm's porcelain exports. "I'll definitely be back this fall since this show brings new opportunities for our business. " The 2008 Taiwan Int'l Cultural and Creative Industries Exhibition aims to help artists, designers and others in the creative industries to turn on their imaginations to transcend borders and industry divides. This year the exhibit areas include "Finessee Universal" and "Accent on Creativity", which bring fresh focus upon applied aesthetics, and two new theme areas, namely "Digi-Solutions" and "Global Vision". The Digi-Solutions expo zone in particular, will be displaying a full array of digital archives, digital culture, and licensing services.
