The 5th Vietnam Textile Summit 2019
Key Words: Textile、Apparel Export、Apparel Industry
The 5th Vietnam Textile Summit 2019, organized by Shanghai ECV International, is going to be held on June 26th - 27th, 2019, in Danang, Vietnam.
Vietnam is now one of the largest textile exporting countries in Asia. Textiles and apparel are Vietnam’s third largest export products and have made outstanding contributions to the gross national product. In 2017, Vietnam’s garment industry exports totaled US$310, an increase of more than 10% compared to 2016. In 2018, the total export value of the apparel industry is expected to increase by 10% year-on-year, reaching about 34 billion US dollars. Recently, the European Commission has also approved the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, which will undoubtedly bring great benefits to the development of the Vietnamese textile industry and arrive in a new development peak. At the same time, cheap labor and government preferential policies have also attracted many investors in the textile industry.
However, although the Vietnamese textile industry has some of the above advantages, its development still faces many challenges, such as rising coal prices, competitive pressure on orders, port surcharges and freight charges. In 2018, Vietnam’s minimum wage rose by 6.5%, which means that labor costs in Vietnam will increase and the development of the textile industry will face enormous challenges. How to grasp the preferential dividends, learn the latest information in the Vietnamese textile market, and better and faster respond to the challenges of the Vietnamese textile market, which will be covered in this summit.
In addition, this forum will be included: the impact of the international trade environment on the development of the Vietnamese textile industry, the development of the free trade agreement of the Vietnamese textile industry, the latest dynamic information of the Vietnamese textile market and the development situation of related industries in the Vietnamese textile industry chain, in-depth interpretation of the status and influence of the Vietnamese textile industry in the global textile industry chain, at the same time, the global apparel brand's view of the Vietnamese market and whether textile and apparel manufacturers will increase investment in the Vietnamese market, will be also a highlight of the summit.
