LED Expo Thailand 2014 – Thailand International Exhibition on LED Lighting Products & Technology
The 2nd edition of LED Expo took place in Bangkok, Thailand on May 22-24, 2014. Over 300 exhibitors from 8 countries participated in Thailand’s biggest show on LED lighting products & technology, showcasing and demonstrating innovative LED products and machinery in 13,500 square meters of exhibition area. More than 16,348 visitors from over 57 countries such as from Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Indonesia, Myanmar, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, India, Korea and & other surrounding countries.
IMPORTANT VISITATIONS
The International Expo on LED Lighting Products & Technologies was graced with the presence of several important dignitaries on all the three days. The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Pongsak Ruktapongpisal, Caretaker Minister of Energy. Other dignitaries from various government bodies, lighting bureaus and industrial associations made a stop at the show.
SYNOPSIS OF ACTIVITIES ON THE SHOW FLOOR
Exhibition space of 13,500 square meters was thrown open to exhibitors to showcase their latest products, hold live demonstrations and interact with business clients at their booth.
VIP Lounge was also set up for more detailed gatherings to discuss business queries and potential deals.
Individual Pavilions were set up for both Taiwan and International companies, providing a concentrated business hub for expo visitors to interact with manufacturers and dealers from these regions.
Thailand LED Summit - An International Conference on LED Lighting Product & Technology, Steered by the committee of experts, the conference attracts high-powered keynotes and serves stimulating discussions in an open environment. Invited speakers will highlight and demonstrate the trend of LED lighting technology, government policy and benefits of using LED lighting for better consumer understanding.
2014 Thailand International Forum on Solid State Lighting (SSL) was organized by International Solid State Lighting Alliance (ISA). Solid-state lighting is an emerging energy-saving and non-polluting technology that can result in direct cost savings. SSL is one of the most rapidly evolving lighting sectors, and it will continue to be so, as consumers see improvements in lighting performance and capabilities driven by this application. With continued developments in technology, the price of LED lightings products has reduced drastically, making it possible for governments, facility owners and consumers to explore and adopt LED applications for long term benefits of energy and maintenance efficiency such as SSL. 2014 Thailand International Forum on SSL touched on the steady developments of the SSL which has brought about revolutions and opportunities for the lighting industry.
INTERNATIONAL PAVILION
More than 106 international based companies participated in LED Expo Thailand 2014. The international Pavilion showcased products such as LED electronic displays, LED lights, a variety of sealants, LED lamps, capacitors etc.
THAILAND LED SUMMIT 2014
The 2-day conference was chaired by top industry players and policy makers from the government, lighting bureaus and organizations such as Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, Illuminating Engineering Association of Thailand, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, Thailand Board of Investment etc. Spanning 2 days and 17 sessions; the summit covered in depth topics on: LED lighting technology, government policy, Thailand investment in LED business for AEC, benefits of using LED lighting and Design trend with LED.
