Supporting Industries (SI) play extremely vital roles in Vietnam, especially the parts manufacturing sector which is a fundamental factor to determine the growth of Supporting Industries--be it the motorbike, automotive, or electronics sector--and also the economy and society. A strong manufacturing industry of supporting industries can bring benefits to the country such as reduced costs of parts imports, higher local skills, enhanced productivity efficiency, superior product added values, healthier economy, etc.

In the upcoming September 2013, a big event will be set out to discover a new world of business opportunities from three (3) specialized exhibitions which will get together to create a force for Supporting Industries (SI) and Cool Japan Technology.  They are: The 5th Vietnam-Japan Exhibition on Supporting Industries in Hanoi (SIE 2013), Japanese Monozukuri Technology Exhibition, and Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2013.

For “The 5th Vietnam-Japan Exhibition on Supporting Industries in Hanoi (SIE 2013)”, about 50 Japanese exhibitors will display accessories they expect to “purchase” in Vietnam and 50 Vietnamese exhibitors will show their-made products they want to “sell” to potential buyers. It is the 5th time, we JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) and VIETRADE (Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency) co-organize this kind of SI Exhibition in Hanoi.

Besides the above SI Exhibition, 45 Japanese companies will bring to Vietnam its hi-technology products in various fields and robots (it is called Cool Japan Technology) at “the Japanese Monozukuri Technology Exhibition”. This exhibition is held by the Executive Committee for Japan-Vietnam Friendship Year on the occasion of celebrating the 40th anniversary of establishment of Japan – Vietnam Friendship Relations.

During 4 – 6 September 2013 at International Center for Exhibition (I.C.E) Hanoi, The combination of three Expos will create an all-under-one-roof meeting center for the manufacturing community. Buyers and sellers would meet, exchange knowledge and ideas, discover technologies, and develop their business networks. Any manufacturers, assemblers, makers interested in are welcome to register booths at this big event.  This widely opens doors for Vietnamese makers to make network with Japanese industrialists for machinery import and industrial production, and to urge Vietnamese small-to-medium enterprises to develop higher competitiveness to prepare for receiving Japan’s investment expansion.

In conclusion, Mr. Yamaoka noted “We are confident that we – Organizers of three Expos will make this big event a real industrial platform for buyers and sellers to meet and create wider business networks, particularly for Japanese investors to expand their operation in Vietnam”.
