The Biggest LED Festival in Korea! International LED EXPO & OLED EXPO 2012 to be held at KINTEX in June

International LED EXPO & OLED EXPO 2012(www.ledexpo.com, www.oledexpo.com, www.didexpo.com), the largest 4-day exhibition of LED lighting, equipment and materials in Korea, is slated to kick off June 26 at Hall 3 and 4, KINTEX.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the LED exhibition which has been drawing as many as 20,000 visitors annually ever since its very first event in 2003, with its popularity going hand in hand with the steadily growing local LED industry. This year’s event will serve as an opportunity for all related organizations ranging from LED and OLED lighting, equipment, parts and materials manufacturers to research institutes to come together with a view to examining the current status of the LED industry and coming up with strategies to gain competitive edge on the global stage

In particular, this year has seen a growing interest from foreign trade agencies such as the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry(KGCCI), clearly demonstrating International LED EXPO & OLED EXPO is indeed the Korea’s NO.1 LED and OLED exhibition. In a bid to foster vigorous exchange among participants, the U.S. Department of Commerce is currently recruiting buyers and potential participants and the KGCCI has already submitted applications to take part in the upcoming event.

This year’s high-profile participants are lighting manufacturers including POSCO LED, Kumho Electric, Wooree Lighting Holdings, Edison Sollitec, Amoluxe, Lumens, Star Net, Tech Sign Light Panel, Icontrols, ICEPIPE Corporation, Jaejin Lighting, G & B Lighting, Kingbright Elec., equipment companies including TSE, Newmatech, Point Engineering and Withlight, parts and materials firms including LG MMA, WPM Super Sapphire Single Crystal Materials Agency, Kolon Life Science, Doosung System, Toyobo (Japan), Everlight (Taiwan), Monolithic (U.S.) and research institutes including LED-IT Fusion Technology Research Center and Cheorwon Plasma Research Institute.

As for OLED companies, Envision will present machine vision cameras for OLED inspection, PSI will showcase flat panel display equipments and spectrum analyzer, Kodivac will display vacuum pump, vacuum gauge and related products and IMT will feature laser cleaning system. Confirmed participants at DID exhibition which is scheduled to be held at the same time include Q Stand for LCD displays and K & C LED for smart sheets.

This year’s exhibition will serve as an important venue to discuss the current status and future direction of LED industry among all related companies and research institutes whose products or subjects of study range from LED lighting, equipment, parts, materials and applied products to inspection and evaluation equipments to laser cleaning system to advertisement display.

Various sideline events such as International LED and Green Lighting Seminar, trade meetings and government award ceremony for new technologies are also organized to enhance the quality of the fair and to better satisfy participants and visitors.

Most notably, the hosting agency plans to hold trade meetings in cooperation with KOTRA to better facilitate fruitful exchanges among participants. A separate meeting session is under discussion with major companies abroad including Cooper Lighting, Energy Bridge and WESCO.
