In the next five years, Qatar government plans to invest 40 billion U.S. dollars for sustainable energy development. As one of the sustainable energies, solar energy has been listed in to national development strategy in Qatar. In Qatar, power plants generate a total capacity of 8,750MW, while in 2013, electricity consumption was 6,000MW.
